Open House Love

Because we love to torture ourselves with our potential dream homes, MrDrama and I and the Kid went on some open house excursions recently. I may have fallen in love with this house. That other house that we saw before with the yellow colonial brick was good before we saw it and realized it was located on a really steep hill and was super close to the neighbors. I should be used to that from Pittsburgh, but in the dirrrty South, I need my 1/2 acre minimum to roam around in.

House #2:

I love how real estate photos sometimes look very little like the real thing. This house while lovely, had a bit of a downsloping front and back yard, which is not on our desired list, but that didn't keep me from falling in lust with the inside of the home. Shocking how flat the terrain seems, huh?

Yummy! Not as much counter space as I would love, but I really like the finishes and we could always add an island later. There is a breakfast nook, too.

The best part of this house was that it had FIVE bedrooms (1 more than we need, but who's counting?) and tons of extra living space upstairs from addition and it had a large unfinished basement. And it is absolutely turnkey and wouldn't need any cosmetic upgrades. It was right in our price range, too, with great schools. Unfortunately, still not looking for a little while longer but it sure is fun though!
