Jewelry Swap, Part 1: The Food

Had a little party with some friends from church this past weekend and it was a jewelry swap. I got the idea for it from another blog that I read, stephmodo.  I got a lot of the decor ideas from the P is for Party blog.  The best part about this party is that it was co-hosted with some friends of mine (Kelly and Dee), which really takes a lot of the pressure off.

I was responsible for the food displays and some of the food.  Here is the buffet. We went for a purple, silver and brown theme (since those are the colors of some of the linens that I already have on hand!).

Food stands: my trusty Liberty of London Target boxes
Dark purple napkins (covering the rear boxes): Pottery Barn
Silver chargers: Target
White tablecloth (not seen) and purple curtain acting as tablecloth: Target
White square plates: Old Time Pottery
White rectangular plates: Macy's
White square pedestal stand (Kelly's): Home Goods

Thin Mints and chocolate covered pretzels

Homemade chocolate cookies (Kelly)

Brownies (whazzup, Costco?)

Chocolate Ganache Dip with Fresh Strawberries

Mini spoons of Banana Pudding with Nilla wafers

Mini cheesecakes (Dee)

Lemon Bars (Dee)

Red Velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting
(BTW, getting this batter on your hands makes you look like you should be on CSI or something as the victim of a homicide)

Zoom in for the invite close up

Kelly is just about as Type A as I am because she matched the flowers to the decor. LOVE. IT.

How darling are these little covers for the bottoms of your wine glass?

Pellegrino and Izze Sparkling juice, 'cause I'm posh like that.

A little Beringer to start the evening off right.

Tomorrow, the jewelry swap!
