We finally caught some footage of the Kid walking. She apparently used my weekend away to really practice hard and now she looks like a quasi-professional. I still find it slightly surreal that this child who has spent the last 6-7 months on her hands and knees is able to walk on her own. It is sort of like having an animatronic version of your child all of a sudden. I keep expecting to see Steven Spielberg pop around a corner with a team of CGI specialists and a remote controlled box saying, "Gotcha!". The thing about this video that makes me laugh is that the Kid with her unsteady gait looks like a cross between Frankenstein and somebody about to bust into either the Moonwalk or the Robot. Walk like a toddler (aka Invasion of the Baby Snatchers)

Wow, she's growing at such a fast pace. She'll be be running and jumping in no time though you may not be looking forward to that :)
