Flower Party Part 2: The Food

As expected, my co-hosts raised the bar for the snacks at the flower arranging party. Since we were doing autumn-themed arrangements, we gave ourselves the task of selecting appropriately corresponding autumn themed foods to prepare.

Of course, I had to start off with some homemade caramel crack popcorn...

To go with the vintage-y vibe we wanted, I went with these vintage milk bottle lookalikes (they are Starbucks Frappucino bottles) with paper straws (you can compost them!). We served sparkling apple cider in these. Other ideas for similar uses at this website here.

One of my favorite things was the toffee dip and pumpkin dip made by Julie that we dipped pear and apple slices into.

Another great thing to dip was the mini graham cracker cookies...

A little something savory with mini Caprese skewers (marinated buffalo mozzarella and grape tomatoes on little bamboo skewers from Cost Plus World Market). A little decoration with the last of the summer basil never hurts...

Julie's vintage plates...

Salami platter...

Killer pumpkin muffins (I may have snagged a couple extras for breakfast the next day)...

Almond cake which I probably could have finished a quarter of on my own.

Any fall party food favorites out there?
