We took Christmas card pictures this weekend in our backyard (while multi-tasking and raking leaves) and while this one didn't make the final cut, it is one of my favorites.I am much more excited for the holidays this year than usual, probably because this is the first time that the Kid will actually sort of get the whole idea of Christmas a little more. The first Christmas when she was 9 months old consisted of us spending the month of December trying to keep her from opening the Christmas presents under the tree and eating the Christmas lights. The next Christmas we kept her from trying to blow out the Christmas lights on the tree.
Up on the agenda this year:
- making an Advent calendar of some sort
- actually setting up the tree a little earlier than Christmas Eve
- pine cone crafts - stay tuned, there is gold spray paint involved!
- getting ALL of my shopping done early - I am about halfway there (and by the way, I am a really good sister-in-law to have)
- possibly hosting a cookie exchange and cocktail party pre-Christmas or just a New Year's Pajama Brunch like last year
