OOTD: Another reason to love Target

For whatever reason, I am drawn to purple this season. I think I went through a purple phase back in 2001 (I have a picture from Jaime's annual White Elephant party where every single friend in the picture was wearing some variation of purple - thanks, Banana Republic). I picked up this dress on one of those infamous trips to Target where you go in for "just one thing" and leave with a waffle iron, new sheets and rain boots.

I am pretty sure the shoes are my new favorite shoe purchase as of late, next to my new Target rainboots (or galoshes, as I like to say).

Here is a better picture of what the shoes look like up close. My version has a leather upper and suede flower and matches the eggplant-y color of the dress perfectly. I am always a sucker for a pretty detail on a show, whether it is a bow or ribbon or fun print. Is it so wrong?

Best thing about this outfit is that even though the dress is a little shorter that what I normally wear to work, you throw a white coat over it and I am respectable again! Gotta love the coat. It is like being a superhero, only I give shots (or at least my nurses do...).
