Random cute kids' birthday party ideas
If you haven't looked at the Hostess with the Mostess blog, you are missing out on some serious eye candy. The parties on that site are so sweet, I swear you will get some cavities. I saw this adorable monkey-themed first birthday party and started having fantasies of decorating colorful kids' tables, etc. I especially like the idea of building your own stuffed animal as a party favor.

If you do ever use this theme, I ordered a cake with a 3-D lab monkey on it for P's defense this week. I'll let you know if it turns out well. :)
Does this mean you're volunteering to plan Jackson's first birthday party from afar? you have three whole months :)
